Comprehensive Eye Exams

A Comprehensive Eye Exam is an important part of caring for your overall health whether you need vision correction or not. This includes the examination of the eye and visual system, as well as the prescriptions. Comprehensive eye exams can detect eye diseases and disorders such as glaucoma, cataracts, retinal detachments, and macular degeneration, as well as other systemic health problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Many eye and vision problems have no obvious signs or symptoms. Early diagnosis and treatment of eye and vision problems can help prevent vision loss.

During the Comprehensive Eye Examination, we review the patient history, check the visual acuity and eyeglass prescription, and check for ocular motility, binocular vision, and accommodation disorder. An ocular health assessment and systemic health screening are performed as well.
